Circular Knife Edge Profiles

Each product presents a different set of challenges for cutting. AceCo circular knives come with a variety of tooth patterns, and can be customized to make almost any cut. If you need a circular knife to amke your cut, let AceCo’s experience and expertise create a blade that will work for you.

Smooth Edge

The most common cutting edge, the straight edge provides the cleanest finished cut.

Triangular or “V” Tooth

Triangular teeth are used when the product must be pierced to initiate cutting (e.g., a product with a tough or thick skin).

“U” Slot

The “U” slot helps remove material and clear debris from the cut. This profile is often used with softer fruit and vegetable products.

“V” Slot

The “V” slot helps remove material and clears debris from the cut. The profile is often used on hard products, or products that contain hard elements (e.g., bones in a fish).

Saw Teeth

Unsharpened saw teeth are used to remove material from products too tough to cut with a sharpened edge. Sharpened saw teeth may be used for softer products or products requiring a cleaner cut.

Interrupted Serration

Alternating sections of straight edge for cutting and triangular teeth help pull product through the machine and past the knives. Often used with small products that can ‘flow’ around the knives (e.g., berries)
